I write marketing content in the form of features, advertorials, B2B magazine articles, brochures, presentations and online guides for a huge range of clients, including Skyscanner, Editions Financial, IBM, Medtronic and Tesco Bank. I’m extremely versatile, covering everything from banks to luxury spas, but I specialise in travel, technology and video games.
I have been writing travel features and guides for Skyscanner on a freelance basis since 2014, and I work across both the Irish and UK websites. I also write sponsored content and flight-deal round-ups, as well as rejigging old articles for better SEO and impact. Below is a selection of some of my articles: you can see a full list of my Skyscanner UK articles here, and all of my Skyscanner Ireland articles here.
Within a few hours’ drive, the bright lights of LA will feel like a distant memory. Drive east to Joshua Tree National Park, where the Mojave and Colorado deserts meet to form a rugged, otherworldly place. Then soak up a different kind of glamour in Palm Springs, with its mid-century architecture, incredible spas and California’s best golf courses. Or drive up the coast to Santa Barbara, a chic town that’s home to perfect beaches and more than a few A-listers…
I have written brochures, features, online guides and social media posts for various clients of Editions Financial, a content marketing firm for financial brands. I have worked on briefs for major clients including LinkedIn, Lloyds Bank and Lex Autolease – two of my Lex Autolease pieces are below.
I was commissioned to write several articles for the Tools and Guides section of the Tesco Bank website. These were mostly on house buying, including articles on home insurance and what questions to ask the vendor when buying a house. Below are links to a few of these guides.

I wrote an advertorial for Kotaku UK that was commissioned by the Victoria and Albert Museum in London to promote the exhibition Videogames: Design/Play/Disrupt.
The Victoria and Albert Museum is hosting an exhibition that takes a radical new approach towards the representation of video games as a medium. Rather than focusing on gaming history, Videogames: Design/Play/Disrupt looks at the changing nature of digital entertainment from the early 2000s right up to the present day… (read more)
I was commissioned by the vacation-rental company TravelNest to write and update the FAQs for their website.
I have written innovation articles for Medtronic, one of the world’s largest medical-device companies, to highlight new developments in the field. These involve interviewing scientists about their cutting-edge developments, such as tiny, implantable heart pumps.
People who have suffered a stroke are often left with lesions in their brain. These fluid-filled cavities are frequently lined with hyperactive neurons that can cause nasty side effects. But Dries Kil, a biochemist and electrical engineer at KU Leuven in Belgium is part of a team that has developed a tiny device which can calm these overactive neurons by stimulating them electrically… (read more)
I researched and wrote a PowerPoint presentation on Mexico for Resense Spas, a company that creates bespoke luxury spas for five-star hotels around the world. The presentation was for a prospective client, and it gave an overview of the country along with its bathing and wellbeing traditions.
I wrote two case-study articles for Bouncepad, which manufactures iPad holders for shops and exhibitions. The two articles were focused on the use of tablet holders by Virgin Holidays and Virgin Media.
Think of a travel agent and you might well imagine sitting in boredom while a rep endlessly types your details into a computer. This is one reason why high street travel agents have been on the wane as holidaymakers ditch them in favour of online booking… (read more)
