I’ve been a copy-editor for around 15 years, and I trained in scientific copy-editing at Elsevier and Macmillan (publishers of Nature, the world’s leading scientific journal). Before going freelance in 2013, I was the Copy Editing Manager at Nature Reviews, where I managed seven copy-editors.
Nowadays I copy-edit a wide range of texts – everything from management presentations to a book about guitar history. But I specialise in the life sciences, as well as RPGs, sci-fi and gaming.
My clients have included New Scientist, Nature, John Wiley & Sons, Osprey Publishing and Oxford University Press.
